Aurora over the Kelpies, Helix Park, Falkirk.
As locations for aurora spotting goes, the Kelpies would probably be far down some peoples lists of locations to try and capture the Northern Lights.

But I was passing by on a night that there was a major aurora alert in place for a particularly strong display so thought I might as well stop by and give it a try. and I’m so glad I did! even trough all of the light pollution from the Kelpies and surrounding lighting you could clearly see the flickering of the milky way passing across the sky in all directions and even possible to see the corona directly overhead with the naked eye.

This night turned into the best aurora displays I have ever seen and my favourite visit I’ve had to the kelpies.
