Milky Way over Saltcoats Harbour
The Milky Way Core over Saltcoats Harbour Tower.
As a photographer who likes to shoot the night sky I’ve found that one of the biggest hurdles that I’ve came across is Light Pollution. whither it’s from nearby towns and city street lights or bright commercial flood lit facilities, light pollution is the one thing that washes out most of the star light from the night sky for us. We simply don’t get enough chances to be able to appreciate the night sky as our ancestors once did. however! On a really clear night when there’s little to no haze in the atmosphere for the street lights to bounce off we can get glimpses of beautiful clear skies filled with stars. this is one of those rare nights down at Saltcoats harbour when you could get a great view of the milky way as it passes over the south western sky.
